ACTIVITIES

The Callender Lake Community is a FUN PLACE TO LIVE
with a very active social schedule
for anyone desiring to participate.

Monthly Board of Directors meetings are open to all association members
and their guests and are conducted in the Community Center
on the 2^nd Saturday of each month

Annual Membership meetings, which include the election of 3 new board members,
are conducted at the Community Center
on the 2^nd Saturday in September

ANNUAL EVENTS

Recreation Club is the “hub” of the community and hosts many special events during the year. In addition to breakfast, brunch, and dinners which are scheduled and announced monthly in the Callender Lake Lines Newsletter.
Activities include an annual Easter egg hunt for children, which usually includes a bake sale. The highlight of the year is the 4^th of July Program that consists of a vehicle parade in the morning, a boat parade in the afternoon, and an ice cream social immediately following the boat parade, plus fireworks in the evening,
Callender Lake usually has a Veterans Day Flag raising ceremony followed by an evening dinner, and Christmas would not be complete without a year-end function.

REGULAR WEEKLY ACTIVITIES

The Resale Shop opens on the 1^st Saturday of each month from 9 A. M. to 2 P. M. It is located on Timber Grove Drive (All proceeds go to the Callender Lake Community)

Various informal clubs and activities meet in the Community Center as follows:

Friendship Club meets on the 2^nd Monday of each month at 2 P.M. unless otherwise announced, during the winter months.

Ceramic Club meets weekly on Tuesdays at 1 P.M.

Card Club meets weekly on Wednesdays at 1 P.M.

Red Hatters meet on the 3^rd Thursday at 1:30 P.M. Meeting locations are different each month; refer to the Callender Lake Lines for monthly location.

The annual joint fish fry is conducted in October at the Hickory Hills pavilion and all proceeds go the the Fish & Wildlife Committees to help pay for stocking the lake.
