The Security and Fire Committee would like to remind everyone that October 4th thru 10th is National Fire Prevention Week.
The focus this year for Fire Safety Week is:
“Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen”
Cooking is the leading cause of home fires and home fire injuries. With nearly half of all home fires being caused by cooking.
The National Fire Protection Association recommends that smoke alarms should be replaced every ten years.
To find out how old your smoke alarm is, check the back for the manufactured date. The alarm should be replaced ten years from that date.
